Science Camp-Ins Schedule

Ready for an evening of fun?
This information is provided to make your arrival and participation as easy as possible. If you have specific questions, please do not hesitate to contact Rose Ann at 1-877-WASH-PAV, or (605) 367-7397, ext. 2374. **In the event of an emergency the night of the camp-in, please call (605) 231-0875.

Where am I going?
Camp-ins will take place in the Kirby Science Discovery Center, which is part of the Washington Pavilion of Arts & Science. We are located in the former Washington High School, a massive pink quartzite building at the intersection of 11th Street and Main Avenue in Sioux Falls, SD. Use one of the Main Avenue entrances to the building.

When should I arrive?
You may begin to check in at 6:00 PM. (No earlier, please!) Please report to the second floor entrance of the science center, near our Discovery Store gift shop. Bring all of your belongings with you when you check in.

Where should I park?
The best place to park is in the city parking ramp on Main Avenue, across the street from the Pavilion. Enter the top of the ramp from 13th Street. There is no charge to park in this area on weekends. DO NOT use the lot directly south of the Pavilion. This lot is owned by a local church, and you run the risk of being ticketed or towed.

What will we be doing?
Our program is a fun blend of structured activities and free exploration time in our exhibits. The schedule below will give you some idea of what to expect. We start promptly at 7:00 PM, so plan your arrival time accordingly! Also, we need to clear the exhibit halls at 8:30 AM on the following day so we can prepare for our regular business hours. If your schedule will not allow you to observe established times, it is very important that you contact Rose Ann prior to the event at 367-7397 ext 2374.
