Action Arts
Underserved and Youth-at-Risk Programs through the Washington Pavilion
The Action Arts program provides successful art experiences for underserved and youth-at-risk students. The Community Learning Center of the Washington Pavilion provides qualified art instructors and supplies for group activities. Working hand in hand with many organizations in town, the Actions Arts program is able to make a positive impact in the lives of Sioux Falls youth.
The goals of Action Arts are:
• Focus on right brained, creative learning styles
• Foster creative thinking and problem solving skills
• Develop hands on technical skills
• Improve communication abilities
• Build positive qualities to increase future employment options
• Enhance self esteem and self worth through accomplishments
• Promote lifelong learning about self and the arts
