We are now accepting students for the 2010-2011 school year at the Graham Academy! Please see details below to enroll your child today. ![]() The Graham Academy at the Washington Pavilion ![]() ![]() Our philosophy… The Philosophy of the Pavilion Preschool is to provide a program for the “whole child” incorporating social, emotional, fine and gross motor skills, linguistic and logical/mathematic learning, and creative development.
Our curriculum…
The Pavilion Preschool curriculum stimulates exploration and encourages problem-solving skills, creativity, social and emotional growth coupled with the opportunity to interact with Kirby Science Discovery Center exhibits, Visual Arts Center exhibitions and Husby Performing Arts Center programming. Our Preschoolers develop a broad knowledge base of the world around them through experiential learning. Their teachers accept them as individuals and encourage each child to progress at his or her own pace laying the foundations for language, beginning academic skills, and social skills.
Our goals for children and families…
We are passionate about serving our children and their families. We hope that you will join us in striving toward these desired results:
· Children are personally and socially competent

Qualified teaching professionals…
Each class will have one lead teacher certified in early childhood education and one assistant teacher with an education background. All of our classes have a small student to teacher ratio with a maximum of 15 students per class. On occasion, specialists in fields such as music, art, science, foreign language or performing arts will serve as guest instructors furthering your child’s education with authentic experiences.
Parents as partners in education…
Parents are the first and most important teachers in a child’s life. We encourage parent participation in the classroom, at parent meetings, and on parent advisory committees. There is an opportunity for every parent to participate and learn with the children and staff.
Enjoying the benefits…
All enrolled preschoolers will receive a family membership to the Washington Pavilion that includes free science center and Cinedome admission and discounts on performance tickets, meals in Leonardo’s, classes and camps and merchandise from the Pavilion Discovery store.
