The Husby Series

The Husby Performing Arts Center at the Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science proudly announces its 2008-2009 Husby Performance Series, filled with Broadway favorites, drama, comedy, dance, opera and much more. Please review this information before proceeding to the ticket purchasing screen.

Purchasing tickets:
Purchase a full-series season subscription, which means you receive tickets to all eight shows and you receive 11% off your order (as compared to purchase price of tickets to each of the nine individual shows). Service charge is waived for full series subscriptions.

Full subscriptions to the Husby Series will be available through the first performance of Hal Holbrook in Mark Twain Tonight! on September 24, 2008. To purchase a full series subscription to the Husby Series:

Performance Insight
The Washington Pavilion offers educational activities with most Husby Series shows. Sponsored by the South Dakota Humanities Council, Performance Insight pre-show discussions take place 45 minutes before a show in the 3rd floor lobby.

Enjoying the events
Special needs: The Washington Pavilion makes every effort to accommodate all persons with special needs. Our theaters are wheelchair accessible. Complimentary assistive listening devices for deaf and hard-of-hearing patrons are available at the Box Office. Sign language interpreters are available upon request; please call at least one week prior to the performance. Large print and/or Braille programs are available for patrons with visual impairments. Please request these programs three weeks in advance. Please contact our ADA coordinator at (605) 367-7397 ext. 2319 for accessibility guidelines and information.

Smoking and concessions: The Washington Pavilion is a nonsmoking and gum-free facility. Food and drink are not permitted in the theater and must be enjoyed in lobby areas.

Electronic devices: The use of cameras and recording devices is strictly prohibited. Flash photography is dangerous to performers.The use of mobile phones, headphones, pagers, laser pointers, computers and other personal electronic devices is strictly prohibited in the Great Hall and Belbas theaters. Please turn off all mobile phones and pagers.You may leave electronic devices with our usher staff, who can monitor them during performances.

Children: Children are welcome at events. Regardless of age, all children must have their own tickets and sit in their own seats. Out of respect to other ticket holders, the Washington Pavilion reserves the right to have parents remove disruptive children.

The views and opinions expressed by the artists may not necessarily be shared by Washington Pavilion Management, Inc.

Can't make the show?
If you, your family or friends are unable to attend a performance, please contact the Box Office at least two weeks prior to the event and our Box Office will be happy to accept them as a tax deductible donation to the Washington Pavilion. Your tickets will then be donated to grateful indivudals from the Heartland House, Multi-Cultural Center or South Dakota Achieve.
 
If your tickets are for a performance that has multiple show times, the Box Office will see if we can exchange your tickets for another show time. If your tickets cannot be exchanged, they will be donated to the organizations listed above.
